Inspirations

For inspiration, I've been looking at the following (besides Firefly and Serenity of course):

Tombstone (can't do a western without watching this one)
Quigley Down Under (gets hired for a job he doesn't like)
The Princess Bride (I like this level of romance. Not over the top, but still there. Humor's great too.)
The Mask of Zorro (Father-daughter relationship)
Equilibrium (Partners relationship)
Star Wars (good example of the hero's journey, and also Boba Fett)
Toy Story (Okay, I just want a cool space suit like that. Also, Joss-speak.)

Cowboy Bebop (This is basically animated Firefly.)
Spaceballs (Yes, I know. But I was surprised how similar the beginning is to what I'm trying to write.)
